Northside Medical Associates Coronavirus Update
March 17, 2020
Our goal at Northside Medical is to secure a safe and secure environment for your continued healthcare. We will remain open throughout the coronavirus pandemic to meet your healthcare needs. We are constantly reevaluating our clinic plan in order to safely meet your needs.
THE NORTHSIDE PELL CITY CAMPUS
As of Wednesday March 18th we will have a separate clinic area in Building 1 for all respiratory illnesses. Adjacent to this area we will have an area that you may see a nurse to be screened and tested for COVID 19 as our clinicians deem appropriate, and according to the latest guidelines and their clinical judgment. This will be a separate area designated for this COVID testing only.
The respiratory illness area and COVID 19 testing area will be located in Building 1 in Pell City where Accel Urgent Care is currently. There will be staff at the entrance of Building 1 and Accel Urgent Care to assist you.
At this time all other areas on our Northside Campus will operate business as usual. However, there will be screeners at the door to take your temperature and ask a few questions so that we may direct you to the appropriate area. This way we will ensure to the best of our ability that those with signs and symptoms of an infectious disease including COVID 19 and potential COVID 19 exposures are evaluated and treated in a specific isolated area (Building 1 Northside Pell City Campus) . You can also be assured that staff and patients in those areas have been screened adequately.
SPRINGVILLE CAMPUS, MOODY CAMPUS, TRUSSVILLE CAMPUS
A screening process for respiratory illnesses will be in place and sick patients will be taken to an isolated area for treatment in order to provide a safe area for staff and patients who do not have a respiratory illness.
IF YOU BELIEVE YOU MAY HAVE COVID-19 OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED AND WISH TO BE TESTED PLEASE CALL AHEAD FIRST BUT IF YOU CAN NOT YOU MAY COME TO THE MAIN NORTHSIDE CAMPUS IN PELL CITY BUILDING 1. P
Of course no intervention is 100% and if you feel uncomfortable coming for your appointments we will be happy to conduct your appoint by telephone. If you desire a telephone visit with the doctor or nurse practitioner simply call 205-814-9284 or reach us by the portal.
For those of you with existing appointments look for staff to be calling to talk with you to address any concerns.
Again , FOR THOSE WHO DESIRE TO COME FOR THEIR APPOINTMENTS OR TO BE SEEN FOR ANY HEALTH CONCERN IT IS BUSINESS AS USUAL EXCEPT FOR THE ABOVE SEGREGATION AND SCREENING PROCESSESS. OUR LABORATORY AND IMAGING SERVICES WILL BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS AS USUAL AS WELL
